I don’t think you can ever have too many ab workouts, and since it’s my blog, that’s whats going to happen! Your core isn’t just an area that looks good in a bikini, but it actually affects all other areas of your fitness. Working your core increases your flexibility and balance, which is one of the major ways to deter injuries. Usually when people get hurt in other areas it has to do with not having a strong core. Who would’ve thought back pain could be reduced from doing core work?

What you’ll need:
Some sort of weight. Don’t sweat it if you don’t have a medicine ball, there are a number of other things to use, such as a dumbbell. One of my followers on Cody, actually uses one of her college books, get creative!
There are numerous ways to modify this routine such as changing the weight you are using, or the number of reps. If you are looking for a little extra challenge, try doing 15 of these Figure 8 Medicine Ball extensions to cap of your workout. With the added balance element to this move, this one is a great overall core exercise.
